Since 2012, this conference take\nplace with the aim to gather a group of more than 100 people whose focus is to\nstudy school choice and the intimate interaction established and emerging\nscholars who value collaboration and academic rigor. For OIDEL this conference\nis an amazing opportunity to be up to date on the main worldwide trends and\nresearches on freedom of education. This meeting enables us to have a better\nunderstanding on how the freedom of education should be better implemented from\na database approach and from a theoretical approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On previous occasions OIDEL participated on this forum to present the \u201cFreedom\nof Education Index\u201d. In this 2020 edition, OIDEL has made two presentations in\ntwo different panels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The theme of the first panel was about International Advocacy in the\nUnited Nations and the European Union. The other speakers of this panel were\nRodrigo Melo&nbsp; from ECNAIS (<em><strong>European Council of\nNational Associations of Independent Schools) <\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;and Miguel \u00c1ngel Sancho from \u201cEuropean Foundation\nSociety and Education\u201d. <br>\nThis was a good occasion to explain how the freedom approach of the right of\neducation is perceived at these international organisms, and what are the\ntrends and opportunities in the future years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/oidel.7dedisseny.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fort_lauderdale_3-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9154\" width=\"512\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oidel.7dedisseny.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fort_lauderdale_3-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/oidel.7dedisseny.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fort_lauderdale_3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/oidel.7dedisseny.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fort_lauderdale_3-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/oidel.7dedisseny.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fort_lauderdale_3-1200x900.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/oidel.7dedisseny.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fort_lauderdale_3-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/oidel.7dedisseny.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fort_lauderdale_3.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second panel was titled \u201cRight to education: tyranny or freedom?\u201d in\nwhich we had the honor to share table with Leslie Hinner from EdChoice\nFoundation. The presentation of Ignasi Grau (OIDEL) aimed to show the\nimportance and interrelation of the social dimension of the right of education\nfrom a theoretical perspective and from a political perspective.
